Indeed, but I can't imagine it sounds like a Volvo

Sleeper to me would be that, with twin turbos and good mufflers to keep it quiet. Saw a Nash Metropolitan with a set up like that, 350 small block, twin turbo, mildly tubbed, had wheelie bars. Not loud, tires did not look that big really, did not seem all that much, then the wheelie bars come out

Ha - OK thanks - but what's up with those mirrors?

Also - if there's one thing I can't stand it's taking a classic car and changing out all kinds of stuff so it's no longer stock. Now there are exceptions like upgrading the brakes - especially for track use.

Maybe some other stuff too.

Mea cupa on my '73 911T 2.4 - I replaced the factory air cleaner with K&N Rain hats. I kept the factory air cleaner though and it went along with the car when I sold it.

These vintage Volvos (for me anyway) are so sweet when preserved as they came from the factory.

Especially a WAGON!

I see another one just got listed....it's an automatic but low miles so should fetch a good price....

The car I referred to in my previous post - located in New York - does not come with a title.

Per this comment:

Quote:
The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a state that does not issue titles for a vehicle of its age. It is being sold on its registration.
I didn't know NY state did not title their older cars.....

BTW - it's already up to $20K with 6 days left!

Other than the mirrors I like everything about this car . The hard work is done it now needs finite details performed . Would be a blast to take out on mountain roads !!!

SLEEPER
no wheelie bars

a 56 ford 2 door wagon looks stock
except for the 406 tripower big block

or an ford anglia looks stock except for the slicks
and the driver is in the back seat
as the front seat has a v8 there

best was stock looking old AH 100 MC
only slicks to give away a 12 sec street racer
the v8 was a built small block 283 but full race
so was the rare alloy body car
