The LSU Tigers win in OT...32-31!

That was a hell of a game.

Mad respect to Coach K for going for the 2 there!

HobieMarty 11-05-2022 08:16 PM

Yep, that sucked!!!! Hard fought game.
Roll Tide!!!

7hr drive for a great tailgate, couple hours with my son and 3 solid quarters of football along with one quarter of wtf football.

Clemson absolutely rolled by Notre Dame (35-14). ND's 3 rotating running backs put on an old school 'run it up the middle' clinic the entire game. #5 Clemson, #6 Alabama, #2 Tennessee all go down - should shake up the rankings a bit ....

Young playing injured. Wonder if we see Milroe.

In any event - the Tigers are a VERY good team!

Yep. Tennessee had four quarters of WTF football today. A sanity check moment for TN for sure. Not ready for prime time!

Lots of interesting games. Clemson took a beating, for instance.

KFC911 11-06-2022 05:59 AM

I knew Clemson was WAY overrated...

UGA X sez he wants to munch on some buckeyes instead of fresh meat ...

That dawg defense looked awesome!

And to think the dawgs lost 5-6 top defensive players to the NFL draft last year . Kirby did an excellent job of recruiting and coaching along with the rest of the coaching staff . I am proud of our Dawgs .

One of the things I noted for the Dawgs defense was how well they were finishing their tackles.

And they'll lose more this year. It's not like last year's draft meant they had to field a team of freshmen along with a bunch of 2-3 star recruits. Indeed, they send out the next wave of sophomore and junior four and five star recruits who had been preparing under the system for a couple of years waiting their turn to shine.

Building such a pipeline is a years-long process and Smith and his staff are to be applauded for their efforts, but hearing Georgia fans say that the team is doing so well in spite of players going to the NFL is growing tiresome.

^^^^ Let 'em cockle-doodle-do if they want too.... It's not like 'Bama and just about all the other top SEC schools are playing walk-ons ;)...

And I'll bet it's the media ya get tired of hearing.... not their fans... no matter what they cover, the media is well... it suckleze!

Love the school spirit though. My college really had no such thing.

The College Game Day guys have been saying Clemsin is overrated all season long. One of the announcers ever talked about it during the game and how their performance was proof of it.

Clemsin barely wins against 'Cuse, who was supposed to be a good team, ND puts a beat down on 'Cuse then on Clemsin. Then 'Cuse loses to Pitt. In a nutshell, Clemsin is overrated.

I had hopes for Tennessee but they just never got going. Looked more like UT of old, short curl route for 8 or 9, run gets stuffed, then punt. Not quite that bad but close. Just couldn't hook up any long balls.

We are going to College Station in 2 weeks for the U Mass game, just to see our kid that never comes home. I'm hoping they win but ain't holding my breath.

People seem to forget after Gene Stallings, Bama was not in a good place. That lasted from '96/7 to 2006 they were a smidge under .500 winning percentage. Mike Shula, Denis Franchione, Dubose, anyone remember them???

The funny thing about Franchione was that he came from TCU, which wasn't good, then after Bama sent him packing, Texas A&M picked him up as if he could bring some of that SEC magic with him.

Oh yes, I remember those times very well. I remember hearing on the radio that Bear Bryant had passed away, he had not long been retired. I remember the dark days after Gene Stallings. Don't forget Mike Price also, he got fired before the season started when he used the University credit card at a strip club.
Bama wasn't in a good place, you are correct, people freak out that Bama has 2 losses this season and they all say the "Dynasty is over", they say it every time Bama has any loss. The margin of winning/losing in both of those games, 4 points, 4 points in the last seconds of the games.
Bama will keep rolling, no doubt, may not make it to the playoffs this time, but it's all good.
Roll Tide!!!

Well, the dance team is nice anyway. Hoping Texas wins though.
