Thanks Mr Bill. She's also made it abundantly clear to EVERYONE that my car belongs to her when I depart this Earth... LOL

I'd describe her as "adorably manipulative" and I'm sure most fathers with daughters can relate.

Well, I have to admit, when I drive my wife’s ‘88 targa and no one is looking, I crack a big smile. It sure is a fine running machine!

Speedsters are too much fun. Enjoy!

the PCA here is a old mans joke of a club.

there are plenty of motorsports specific clubs worth your membership, just not PCA here. SCCA, MAC, IIRA, CWSCC, etc.

How old are you?
Buying a nearly new 911 as your 4th car puts you at age 30. minimum.
So, you're over 80? 90?

Who cares. Who are we fooling?
We are collecting 30-50 year old cars.
Under 5% of this forum is actually dropping $120k on a new 911.

I can’t argue with you, but boy if I had a different experience. I have found that most of the car guys I know are very good sorts, eager to share with them know, and eager to learn about much of what they don’t know.

My $.02 anyways.

Hey, that was me - thanks. That’s one I never heard of before. Sidenote: last time I was at the Lit festival in LA I saw a very battered speedster I was told it was Jerry‘s (Who was there and VERY willing to chat - about cars!) and it, too, had a New York license plate, so that tracks.

I describe myself as an air-cooled Porsche guy. But I really do love the new water pumpers too. Especially anything with the last initial being "S", "GT" or "GTS". If people want to draw conclusions that I'm a snob, or whatever, fine. I don't do anything to merit that assessment.

I'm hosting a local Volkswagon club. I'm giving them 20 highly coveted parking spaces in late October for free. I'm posting their advertising in spaces that I could easily charge for. It's because they are planning a Halloween Trunk or Treat for kids. It's a good cause, and involving good people. I can't wait to see the cars. Maybe it'll turn into a regular car club gathering. Are Porsche guys exclusive and snobby? Maybe, I don't know. I don't think about it.

I haven't run into any yet.

Some of them are grumpy though.

The American Roadster shown in the video - probably Jerry’s and apparently 1 of 13:

WHY OH WHY DOESN’T SOMEONE MAKE SOMETHING THIS BEAUTIFUL TODAY??
