Top speed 268 KPH or MPH? It doesn't say, but looks from the rate the road is going by it's MPH.

Impressive. Kind of boring, which is a testament to what Porsche has been able to do with chassis/vehicle dynamics and nannies.
Beat the "plaid" number by 2 secs. |

I wish Porsche would stop d1cking around and make a SPORTS EV.
Big heavy sedans is not what they built their name on. Its not what their marketing and pedigree is based on. the problem with EV is weight, adding weight kills performance and then you need bigger motors, which need more batteries compound problem So why do they do records with bloated big cars with rear seats , thats weight drop the rear seats no rear Airbags, rear seats, trim, smaller chassis stiffer chassis (no opening between front and rear seats) less batteries needed They can build a car that weighs half a ton less for better performance and endurance. Half a ton, less will handle better brake better accelerate better The current Ring EV record is easily smashed with such a car. IF only they would build it |
^ What Stijn said. I am interested in an EV Porsche, but not in a bloated sedan. I am sure market analysis dictated making a model S copy, but I sure wish they had an electric sports car.
Frankly, I find it amazing that Porsche can barely keep up with Tesla, who is so much smaller and newer. It is both testimony to Tesla's engineering talent but also to how far behind everyone else seems to have fallen with Tesla's head start. The model S is like 10 year old tech now, isn't it? G |

While watching, I couldn't help but think that the future of racing will have the driver sitting in a recliner on pit road.
