There are "kids" that are about to turn 21 that probably don't really understand.

It doesn't seem like it was 21 years ago. It feels more like 10-ish.

We have sold our soul to those SOB's since then with absolutely NO shame whatsoever.

Saudi Arabia is the United States’ largest foreign military sales (FMS) customer.

There are kids today that don't even know what happened on 9/11/01. Quite a few of them really. And thats not by accident.

Prayers totally those that died that day.

My dad was born on Sept 11th. He was crushed and never wanted mention of his birthday after that day. He would be 100 today.

I'd love to hear about a US curriculum that does not include 9/11. I suspect it does not exist. But let's not PARF this up.

Thanks for sharing that.

FWIW, my stepbrother and his wife drove up from WPB today to visit with our Mom, and they revealed today is their 51st wedding anniversary. I thought how unfortunate to have that as their day of marital celebration - and then of course thought about the big picture and what so many families have and are going through to this day.....just so horrendous an event for those families.....

I had left Officer Basic Course (after being enlisted for 7 years) on Sept 7, 2001. We were moving to Germany for my first assignment and were taking a few days in Texas saying our goodbyes to family.

Left the US on Sept 15, 2001 on a US based airlines with my wife and 10 month old son. It was strange and scary, empty airports and lots of new security.

The Army that I had been in prior to 9-11 changed drastically and became far more capable and ready to act. I can only hope we have kept up to the level of preparedness post 9-11.

Such a sad day... RIP to the fallen and I hope their families have found peace.

21 years later, the world is very different. Such a terrible loss. For the people directly affected there is no full recovery.

Everyone remembers where they were on 9/11/2001, I also remember where I was on 9/12/2001. . .

Guarding an entry point to our base.
