When your lip swells up so you can't see past it because of the wasp sting, having a lighthouse is probably the bees knees.

I just hope it doesn't keep the turtles up.

Oh...they're good with it...prob hoping it helps keep that pesky raccoon from visiting every night. Sandy coon prints on the ledge every morning.

Michigan has 129 different lighthouses on it's coastline with the Great Lakes. Almost all of them are still active.
MI has over 3000 miles of coastline.

Not too bright after sunset...garage light doesn't help.

If you look at the first pic closely...you'll see an albino turtle in front of the 'shrooms.
He is the protection.:)

For as much as you paid for this one I would have expected the beacon to rotate.

This one is made of metal and resin.....instead of wood.
No paint fading or wood rot.

A diff rotating light will only be about $60

36 rpm's seems a little fast to me.

Solar is nice...but it doesn't compare to 110v ac.

I would like it to be more like 15 rpm's.

I noticed that the solar light only works for a few hours. At 7am today, the light was off...even though it was dark.

I would replace it with a strobing blue or red light.

Keep the neighbors up all night!

Seems unlikely to keep your turtles from running aground. Needs a loud, intermittent horn.

They aren't real smart...just hungry.:)

Supposedly, Hemingway bought his house in Key West near the lighthouse, so that he could find his way back home after spending a night drinking in town.

4am pee call. It was still rotating and shining.
7am and it was only shining dimly.

That was on a short 3 hr charge. I'm sure after today...it will go thru the entire night
