Zippers
 

I have been noticing that pants zippers are getting shorter and shorter. I’m sure it must be a cost savings attempt but even a pair of shorts from Columbia have a very short zipper. Most recently a pair of pants my wife got me at Costco have a zipper that’s barely 4 1/2 inches long. A normal pair of pants has a zipper of at least 6 or 6 1/2 inches length. Sometimes difficult to extract stuff when necessary if you get my drift.

So... Are more of "US" now sitting down to pee?

My current GF wont let any person with a penis stand up to pee in her house (seriously).

If I'm wearing shorts instead of long pants...I just leave them zipped and use the leg exit.

I'm more concerned with pockets getting shorter. Pants and shirts.
I no longer wear a pocket protector, be even without it, the pen bottoms out in the shirt pocket before the clip is fully seated on the edge.

Pants, same deal, I can barely get my hands in my pocket, and if I sit down all my change falls out.
Dickies seem to be the worst.

I’ve noticed the shorter pants pockets too. And it’s not just off brand cheap stuff either.

So go outside to pee.

Just measured a pair of Costco "Kirkland" 'dad jeans'. 6 1/2".

WTF? So how does she know and enforce this rule? I'd know it was "over" even before I pee'd while sitting on her sofa :D

In the not-baggy but not hipster-tight, Unbranded (the brand) is the worst. Pockets like you'd see in ladies jeans. Nearly absent zipper.

I kind of splurge on the denim - Naked and Famous is generous in its pockets and while there's no zipper, the buttons go all of the way. Non-chinese cotton, usually woven in Japan on old 1940s looms and assembled in Canada, they're solid, look good and wear very well. Mostly raw selvege for the denim nerds out there..

Most pants have the waist line getting lower. It may be possible that zippers are getting shorter, but in some cases at least, that's because the distance from the top of the pants to the crotch is shorter.

She read me the riot act the first time I stayed the night at her place so it's on the honor system... Generally I don't have a problem with it because it's her house and she comes to my house more often than not. I also discovered on that "first night" that night she has other attributes that make up for any shortcomings. ;)

Payback.... I'd remove the toilet seat before her next visit :D

My toilet seats have "soft close"... So she can't tell what I'm doing in there. ;)

I can identify with that. Life's not as much fun once it becomes full of things you used to do. But I try not to worry about old age. My understanding is that it doesn't last long.:rolleyes:

Have you ever gotten your ding dong or scrotum caught in a zipper? Happened to me once as a kid. Left me scarred, in more ways than one, for life. Now I just wear Velcro pants.
