I never knew Honda made the 1st gen NSX in an "R" version.

I didn't either....but don't know much about them other than what I read in the car magazines when they were sold new. Not a lot of help in the comments section of the auction that help, either.
Tried sitting in one long ago...wasn't comfortable.

The auction is brand new today, so the comment section is pretty light yet.
I talked with my NSX-loving-buddy about these cars and he reckons this one could possibly go for mid 400's according to the scuttlebutt.

So, if you're into cars as investments, another of those "coulda-woulda-shoulda" cars. But in this price range, who would use it as a driver? Some might...but not me.

Couldn't even import JDM cars until fairly recently. (relatively speaking) The R was a Japan only version, so this never came to the US new.

So, sorta like the '73 RS...I looked into buying one when new. Vasek Polack had some imported. Gary Wright was selling cars for Vasek (and driving, I think). Gary told me they were for racing only, couldn't be licensed for the street. That blew it for me.
The Japanese R version probably wasn't USA's D.O.T. compliant.
