Yea, I don't understand calling it a record. It is really fast, but so what. It is not a real car anyone can drive on the highway or to go get groceries.

Lots of drag racing cars are a lot faster.

Probably an EV Record for 0-60.

I had to turn it off, can't take all of the gay music and dramatic buildup for what it essentially a 2 second video about an electric go-cart...who gives a ****. It's like a porno where they take off their lederhosen to techno music and then *squirt.* Pass. :)

Yea, a crappy video, to a underwhelming performance of a go cart. Big Whoop. I bet there several hundred thousand cars in the USA alone that can beat that thing in a drag race at the track.

It might be a record for a go-kart, I dunno. But you're right, it's not a grocery getter like those faster drag cars are. :rolleyes:

There are a lot of cars like pro touring cars that are not really designed to drive to the grocery store, but they can legally do it. Tagged and insured and all the lights work. They would be really close to that 0-60 time, and almost surly beat the go cart in a 1/4 mile.

Like the GT3RS, it is not sub two second drag car at all, and few owners will go to the grocery store in one, but they can.

That go-cart would be absolutely terrifying and illegal to drive on the road with the average overgrown SUV and pickup driver paying more attention to their cell phone than the road.

Still, I bet it is a blast to drive and a great toy on a safe track. I have ridden in a new 911 Turbo S and it is 2.2 seconds to 60 and brutal acceleration that is almost painful in launch mode. 1.4 seconds is something I would not want to do multiple times in a row.

This a 2,000 HP electric car that Jay Leno had on. It is kinda pricey, 2.5 MILLION bucks, but I bet it is fast, and it can get a few groceries,. ;)

It's an EV record. Music and visual effects are kind of obnoxious, but the video was made by college students so not entirely surprising. It's not a "go-kart." Basic design and architecture are that of a Formula SAE (Formula Student in Europe) car.
