I'm pretty sure we've all been standing by for months as you drag your feet.
Ready for the big reveal!

So, as it turned out I found the same bike as in the OP in North Carolina slightly used with 5100 miles on it. It was still large money but overall $10K less than the new one I was digging.
![]() I flew to Raleigh where my wingman Rodney met me and hung out getting to know the bike before riding it back to jersey. As you can tell it was late when I rolled in. It ran flawlessly with none of the oil issues I saw on the various fora. Man it is a different ride but I settled into it pretty quickly. I do need to work on my arms as best I can. The square front wheel requires a lot of effort at low speed but I'll get it done. There are a few improvements to make like an adjustable clutch lever, upgrade the abysmal lighting, a sissy bar for the grand kids, a luggage rack and I want to install a fuse block and a small light in the trunk. So, the new adventures start!

Congratulations, looks like a great way to continue riding for you.
Of course we’ll need more pictures!

Sweet ride. Get out there and enjoy it but remember to "keep the shiny side up"

Congratulations, I feel your pain about having to make changes from when we were "Superman" when we were younger and now we have to except that we are no longer indestructible, our motor skills go south, and we can deny our reality and do more damage to our well abused bodies, we retire to a recliner or, as you have done, you can modify your desires so that you can keep enjoying the things you want to, but to work with our current reality.
Enjoying.

This thing is certainly shiny. As for the other bit. I was on some minor twisties and taking my time to get the feel of how it corners. That's a bit of a learning curve but it'll come.

That's cool, FB. Looks like it's becoming the season of Pelican motorcycle fly-and-drive roadtrips.
Serious question, I know nothing of trikes, can you fly an outside rear wheel on the curves like a sidecar? Semi-serious question, does it wheelie? (I'm assuming no, the c of g & f/r balance is probably not going to allow those shenanigans)
