^^^ I never had an 8 track that didn't require a matchbook as a shim.
Maybe it was the bumpy/back roads back then...lol |
There are probably more 8-track tapes still around than matchbooks! I never had to use one..... But...
8-tracks .... supposedly designed with 4 tracks with two of each, L & R for stereo. I recall the Allman Brothers' Beginnings tape had a penchant for playing 1 track (L) of a song with the (R) track being a totally different song.... And y'all wonder how I got this way :D? |

^^^^ I had "Toys In The Attic" on 8-track in '75.... Twas years before I knew the Toxic Twins didn't write it.....
