An interesting roadster concept from Sbarro
I discovered this last week. I rather like it.

Cool, modern take on an old hotrod.

Nice to look at, but not sure what I'd do with it. Car shows?

It’s a fully-functioning car powered by an Audi V8, so in the US you could register it as a kit car or something and drive it. In the EU, not so much.

Car shows only in Oregon..fenders required. That said, I like the classic lakes roadster look.

7fifteenmotorworks in Wisconsin has been doing an open roadster for a number of years. The bodywork is sweet. LS3 motivation.

Franco Sbarro has never been able to get the details right. I've never seen anything from him that made me just go oooh, aaaah; his cars generate more of a WTF reaction. This is no different.
The headlights, the windshield, the grille, and that funky hood side panel, along with the header sticking straight out, a weird shallow, wide cockpit with that jarring perpendicular stripe, the exposed door hinges that look like they were supplied by Ace hardware - all individual elements that don't add up to a whole. 7fifteen looks much, much better. Classic.

I don't disagree with you re: a lot of Franco Sbarro's work, but this was a student project, and the concept was theirs, too. Built in ten or so weeks; altogether, pretty impressive.

Probably some kind of studio/stage prototype.
Will never run. Will never be build. Personally don't like it. Headlights are terrible. I can't imagine the rear wheel arches being functional |

Schwing! That looks like a Caterham/50s Grand Prix with a V-8. I'm sure it's a blast and I'd love to have one assuming it's well done. I love a V-8 and power as much as the next guy. But, I'm curious how it would compare to something closer to the original Lotus, smaller, lighter, more nimble. Reasonably zippy but not cobra fast. I assume that one is more cobra-like. It's a sexy beast for sure. IMO, far cooler than a cobra. But then I prefer the narrow bodied cobras to the bulging fendered 427 cars.

Reminds me of the Moal Coachbuilders that built this for Wayne Carini

It takes a lot of effort to make a bespoke car look that tidy. Everything about it has a purpose and compliments the overall effect. It might look better without the hood strap but at least there's historical precedent. I love how narrow it is from the front.

Yep, there was NEVER a discussion of cost on that car. He even went to the shop in San Francisco just for a fitting of the seat and steering column. It was that bespoke.
Nice article about Moal. https://www.hemmings.com/stories/2017/09/19/moal-coachbuilders-the-familys-fourth-generation-builds-cars-for-a-special-clientele
