Are red vehicles still ticket magnets?

I'm still truck shopping. I found one with most everything I'm looking for, except it's bright red. The last red car I had was also the last car I got a ticket in.

A red truck is not nearly a ticket magnet as a red sports car.
Which is sad because the red trucks get a free pass to travel at 20 over the speed limit around here.

Cindy's red Camry seems as invisible to cops as any other color Camry.

My understanding is a red or yellow car stands out to a cop passing other cars more than asphalt color.

Depends on how fast you drive it.

from a physics standpoint, no red is not ideal.
White reflects laser better, and that nice reflective front license place is the main target for laser.

step down from laser, radar. Metallic paint is radar's friend.

step down from that, and leaving physics behind, flashy vehicles (and red is flashy), get noticed.

I drove a white Miata for years. You, hmm, are not flashy in a white Miata. I got lucky multiple times because white Miatas never look like they are going fast.

I heard Yellow like tennis ball yellow was optically most conspicuous.

Like the red truck (resale red or arrest me red).
Try some basic white vinyl stripes to personalize it.

On the highway, I'm a relative slowpoke. 4-5 over, tops.
But this town has some messed up traffic planners. You'd think as roads get wider, and access is limited, the speed limit would raise. But no, speed limits are dropping. 5 lane road, center turn lane, 25mph. The Nimbys said the heavy trucks were shaking their houses, causing damage, so the city dropped the speed. Most everyone drives about 35mph, and which vehicle are the cops going to pick out? The flashy one.

The road in front of the work place is 4 lanes, speed limit is 25mph. After our building it narrows to 2 lanes, and the speed limit goes up to 35mph.

I've waited several months for the right truck, I can wait a while longer.

Very nice looking truck... Chevy design is getting better after a long drought. That being said, I wish square tires were available to compliment the square wheel wells..

Kidding aside... nice ride!

I get more attention on the Red Duc compared to the Red Taco.

That reminds me of an old Rugby song. The catch line was "her thighs at night were lily white....but by morning they were scarlet!".
