So just a few fenders, some glass, seats to sit on, a little paint here and there, and ya got a nice little hot Rod. Easy. BTW I sure like those headers (Hooker). I guess they're really manifolds and not headers.

Looks like a good starting point Pretty rust free from what I see (unless you already fixed that). I like the idea of a modern drivetrain, steering, suspension, brakes etc. in a non-numbers matching car. Especially if it pretty much looks stock otherwise. I almost bought a '67 Camaro SS recently (good price) but figured I have too many 911 parts lying around to cheat on the marque.

I think those Hooker cast iron exhaust manifolds are cool. They should have done that decades ago. Not everyone needs the headaches that come with tube headers.

I hope someone is making carbon or glass replacements today. The OEM version kills hinge pins in about a summer because they weigh about a planet each.

Making a bit of headway

Had to put new (old) roof on as someone cut a sun roof in the original top, it was a fad back in the 70's and 80's as I recall.

It's a long long way to go

Fun fact about the 2nd gen Camaro (F body). Fischer body had a lot of trouble making the stamping dies for the rear quarter panels; the metal would stretch too far and then tear. Chevy had to extend production of the 1st gen (69 Camaro) to maintain sales which meant they were sold fairly deep into 1970, and that's why the 1970 Camaro is sometimes designated a 1970 1/2.
