You should be banned for all the pop-ups that came up. DO NOT CLICK ON THE SITE. Just in case it was a mistake, the phaser work if your tagged by a radar gun. But 90% of speed guns are laser therefore its not that much help.

Wow has it already been 3 months since we last discussed radar jammers? Do a search and you will learn that it is a waste of your money.

Funny you should mention that Terry. My pop up blocker was disabled and I had forgotten to turn it back on! I will blame it on my blocker.
I follow the threads on the Jammer's Kurt (this one claims to jam laser thought I doubt it. I just know the local Evil Knievel's are sitting under the trees with Laser guns and looking for whatever options I can. V1 is on order to replace my old Cobra and act as a back up to my K40 permantly mounted in the 911 (V1 for any other vehicles I drive when not in the 911).

I put no faith in detector or jammers. The best defense against the cops is a good set of eyes. If your in a spot where your likely to see po-po then don't go fast. But if you do get caught take it like a man.
BTW: sorry for the pop-up thing but man does that piss me off! |

If it's a passive jammer, it probably will not work. If you really want something that will work get yourself a uniden BCT 12 scanner.
It is pre-programmed for all 50 states for both local and state police. I just purchased one and I can say that it lets me know what's going with the police as far as who's getting tagged and where. It also has the dot frequencies, weather band and news channel. So, if you want something that will give you more info along with your V-1 get the BCT-12. Hey Steve ...
have you been using the BCT-12 in various states.. I bought the BCT-7 that was supposed to sound an alarm if the PD hand held/trunk booster was used.. I didn't know it was obsolete when I bought it.. so I need another cross country toy..........Ron

Did you mount the BCT in your Porsche? If so, where. Ronin - I read something about a device that sounded an alarm when the signals were strong. Did you hever have it work? All PD's are not up to the latest tech. Bro is a cop and said the Laser guns are about $2k so most of the units are still running the X K and Ka units here in Tampa

"Did you mount the BCT in your Porsche? If so, where. " --- my aeral is mounted on a bracket that sits on the engine lid vent.. I needed resistor spark plugs to avoid the ticking. "Ronin - I read something about a device that sounded an alarm when the signals were strong. Did you hever have it work? All PD's are not up to the latest tech." --- it sounded the alarm in some parts of Kansas. then I turned it off after a few states were NG. why it no longer works has something to do with radio transmission"trunking" "Bro is a cop and said the Laser guns are about $2k so most of the units are still running the X K and Ka units here in Tampa" --- really.. the only place I ever found a X hit was in Georgia.. otherwise, even the hick towns use at least the K band countrywide/my experience.. and the Blinder M-10 does work on small cars if mounted correctly.. on a SUV the coverage won't cover the big spread of the whole nose.. the problem is that your plate is target #1, then your headlight is #2.. I measured the coverage for a short distance laser hit on my 911, it covers. I have an Nat'l Motorist Ass. article on laser jammers.. but don't think It'll fit on this BB.. I could try if anybody is interested [/QUOTE]

Well, had an opportunity to use the BCT 12 this week on my trip to FLA. It works great. Kept me informed about what's going on around me. Also had the alert go off a few times when the SP/LP were out of their car using their two way.
If you ever have an opportunity to get one - do it. You won't regret it. Mine is mounted on the visor driver's side. It has a large speaker so you can hear really clear. My V-1 is mounted just above and to the left of the mirror so it is easily seen while driving. Steve "A Porsche does more then just go fast in a straight line"
