(No, not the real Alice's)

As much as I love the annual Alice's Restaurant singalong and then the food, food, and more food, I would like to speak up and say that we Pelicans have so much to be thankful for. My wife and I have been coming up with something each day this month.
I am thankful for things big and small. I love my toys. I have a nice safe house and a warm bed to sleep in. I have family and friends who love even me. My bride of 40 years is a blessing. But I also think about things like clean water, fresh air, the ability to see color, the enjoyment of music, a refrigerator and stores stocked with food and other "necessities"... Simple everyday things like ibuprofen, antihistamine, socks, toothpaste... Most of all I am thankful for the peace I have because of my faith (and I will stop there as to not parf up the post).

I encourage everyone to think creatively of all the dumb stuff we can be thankful for (even if you aren't in a country that celebrates Thanksgiving!)
