What's this worth? '69 Honda CB350

My dad passed away a few years ago and left a '69 Honda CB350.

Not currently running, hasn't been ridden in years, has been sitting in storage for at least 10 years. Bike appears to be all there. I neglected to look at the odometer.

The story as I understand it is that he acquired the bike in the early '80's (with title) with carbs out of sync. He fiddled with it for years, rebuilt the carbs a couple of times, could get it to idle OK and rev to ~3k, but would run poorly past that.

Anybody into these bikes and can provide reasonable value / asking price?

Thanks for the help.

Someone will want that bike, and do it justice ...

Good luck!

Bikes from that era are hugely popular these days.

Clean it up a bit and contact BaT, where you're almost certain to find more than one person pining to own it, and therefore willing to pay for the honor.

There are prob a lot more in OR

Refreshed...that would be a very nice bike for someone.

A good bike for the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride.

I think get a shop to fix the carb business, then keep it and enjoy it.

It would run better with the spark plug wire attached to the spark plug.

That thing appears to be in great cosmetic condition. I'm with Bill. I'd get it running right and then ride it.

Maintenance and tune-up procedures are not mysterious for these bikes. Follow the steps, and it will run like a sewing machine.

Don't expect the brakes to be ferocious.

It looks too nice to convert to a Cafe Racer. The power will be minimal.

Valuable and collectable for bikes of that age / displacement. If you have the title, that would make a huge difference in pricing.

Hagerty values it from $3000 fair, to about $8000 Excellent.

I don't know what other state laws were, but in NY prior to 1973 they only had transferable registrations.

Thanks for the replies. Lots of "long story" around this bike - maybe for another day. Yesterday was the first day I had access to the bike to snap a picture (had to clean out storage unit to do it - it was way in back)

I know the plug wire was off. I've honestly never tried to start it. My wife says I don't carry enough life insurance to start riding motorcycles...

It's a nice bike, Fanaudical. Even if your firm plan is to sell it, your best bet is to clean it up and either get it running well yourself, or take it to a specialty shop and have then do it. It is easier to sell a cleaned-up bike that runs well compared to a dusty one that won't start.

And it looks to be in great shape. Unless there are flaws I am not seeing, this would sell on the high side of the range Ed mentioned.

In running condition, somewhere $3-4K. Devil is in the details. Looks good, but can't tell if the tank has chips in it, or is just dirty. Pristine paint can jack up the price.

I had a 69 SL350
Bought it in 71 and kept it for about 3 years.
Typical Honda bike...bulletproof.
