How to watch the 2022 Tour de France in the United States and Canada

NBC is where it’s at for U.S. cycling fans.

NBC-owned USA Network will cover the race live on TV, with the exception being stages 12 and 13 which will be tape delayed. NBC will also air stages 2 and 20. The NBC-owned Peacock online streaming service will be carrying the race live in the U.S. through the full 21 stages.

FloSports will provide a live streaming service in Canada.

How to watch the 2022 Tour de France in Europe

European fans will be able to watch the Tour de France online via GCN+ or on the partner Eurosport streaming service. Eurosport will also cover the race on its Freeview channel. Some territory restrictions apply to these broadcasts.

UK-based viewers will also have live TV coverage via ITV4.

Teledeporte (Spain), Rai (Italy), RTBF (Belgian Walloon), VRT (Belgian Flemish), NOS (Netherlands), TV2 (Denmark), and of course, France TV Sport, will cover the race in their respective countries.

How to watch the 2022 Tour de France in Australia

SBS all the way! Fans Down Under can set their alarms early for a live broadcast on SBS, or wait for replays via SBS On Demand.

Looks like 5 American riders in the field this year. Any of them likely to be a top 20 contender?

7 US riders and 3 from Canada!!!

Of all the North Americans in the Tour de France, the rider who will likely get the most television time is Sepp Kuss. The Jumbo-Visma rider won stage 15 of the 2021 Tour de France in Andorra, giving the US its first stage win at the race in a decade, and is one of the best climbers in the business. His talents are most often put to use in the closing kilometres of key climbs where he works to tee up teammates Primož Roglič and Jonas Vingegaard, the team's GC leaders.

Kuss has also won a stage of the Vuelta and Critérium du Dauphiné. It will be the 27-year-old's third Tour de France and his eighth Grand Tour after four Vueltas and two starts in the Giro d'Italia. Maybe the third time will be a charm?
Phil always refers to him as "The young rider from Durango."

Who are the North American riders in the 2022 Tour de France?

Hey Baz,

Love me some tour and I have Peacock which will have daily coverage, but I’m a year away from living the life of leisure of a retired guy like yourself and just can’t watch 6 hours a day. Do you know of any short daily highlight shows?

Thanks and as always, Korey send scritches to your pups, but not treats- he is not a sharing dog!

Wow, normally, I would be glued to the TV on bike racing. I lost some interest in pro racing due to having no time to seek out 6 hours daily to sit in front of the TV. that's wife's job now. I want to see more of Remco Evenepoel, VanAert, and VDP. Love to see how they stir up the honest nest.

Good evening Rutager....always a pleasure to hear from you! Please give Korey some Bazza belly rubs!

Unfortunately both my girls have passed. But I will let them know you sent hugs in my prayers tonight.

Also, I'm not retired - just semi-retired. That said - I do enjoy more flexibility with my time sucking obligations so hang in there - your time is coming.

Regarding TDF highlights....off the top of my head, my recommendation would be You Tube.

Here's an example from last year......46 minutes.....and if that's still too long, remember you can always adjust the playback speed in the settings!

Hi Baz,

My deepest condolences, I didn’t realize the girls where no longer with us, I’m so sorry, losing such great companions is very hard.

Thanks for the links and ideas; around an hour is a decent time to watch, can do that while eating dinner and giving Korey some lap time.

Best,
Rutager

Stage 1 under way on a rainy TT course. The first guy out of the gate averaged approx. 30 mph...in the wet!

Thank you, Rutager. Really appreciate it.

Despite the wet conditions, I thought this year's tour got off to a great start. In particular it was very pleasing to see the 31 year old Belgium win --- shocking the world! This is what it's all about!

From the Tour de France You Tube Channel - here is a 7:21 long highlight vid for those interested.

I'm watching today's Stage 2 right now and am looking forward to what happens on that bridge!

Peacock streamers get a 2 hour head start - I'm on USA cable.

==========

*********Also - I should mention that there may be spoilers in this thread - so anyone who is watching delayed broadcasts......BE AWARE and perhaps do not open the thread until you've fully caught up.********

I don't think that wind is going to be much fun for those in it's teeth.
