Just based on the pics this one is almost museum quality . For a Volvo collector or serious Volvo nut it could bump up the last day bidding .

No I hear ya, brother.

Getting an original 2 door manual with carbs in excellent shape should demand value.

The wheels were upgraded but he still has the originals and hubcaps.

I thought about contacting a friend here who restores these and other cars and seeing if he'd like to go into buying it with me. We'll see.....

Baz...I just now watched the video of this car because I caught the 'in Michigan'

When the video was about half-way thru, I noticed a street sign.
The car is less than an hour from me and I believe it to be a used car dealer that's located in a very rural area. (if that makes a diff)

I took a peek early this morning before heading out and it was still just $6,400 and I was thinking she should at least go $10K before all is said and done.

I would have gone in half with someone at $10K but just never had time to get anything presented to any of my crew.

Such a nice original example of an iconic car.

OK didn't realize that. Interesting. I do think it should have ended up higher but it is what it is. If there is a place to get the most $ for a car like this, B.A.T. is it.

Perhaps it's the economy that impacted this auction. Hard to know, exactly.

Does make you wonder what the reserve was set at though.

I got my Volvo's windows tinted today. Next is headliner repair. They are such great cars.....
