Like your Amazon deliveries?

Just say these three words to Alexa...."Thank My Driver" and $5 will be sent to the driver. :)

Whose $5 is it?
Is it added to MY bill?

Dantilla 12-08-2022 02:25 PM

I don't have an Alexa, but next time I'm at my tech-freak friend's house, I'm going to make their driver very happy.

Because that's the kind of friend I am.

^^^ Good move...he will definitely appreciate it. :D

Mine is USPS or UPS.

"The tip will go to the driver who last dropped off one’s package. Best of all, the tip isn’t coming out of the consumer’s pocket. It’s coming out of Amazon’s."

Mmmmmmmmm.......don't see that happening to be true. Unless the big A keeps $4 of it, used for tax shelter....

What about people driving up in an unmarked van?

stevej37 12-09-2022 08:27 AM

The Amazon/Prime driver takes a pic of every package delivered and it's instantly emailed to the home owner.
I notice that they always try to get their truck in the pic also...If it's possible.

We get Amazon deliveries at work regularly and there are many different delivery companies dropping off packages. No pic either.

stevej37 12-09-2022 08:31 AM

^^^Never Prime trucks?

As often as any other delivery companies.

GH85Carrera 12-09-2022 10:04 AM

I get prime deliveries from every carrier out there.

The Amazon truck drivers mostly take a photo, but not all of them. Most put it in a good spot, some leave it out in the rain.

LOL, great idea! I would never have one of those devices in my house….don’t see the appeal.

^^^ I have the 10" HD Alexa Show on one of the kitchen counters. I can ask it to show 'my cameras' and it will have all of th security cams boxed on the screen live.

Or, I can ask her to show my photos and it cycles through the hundreds of photos that I have taken in the last dozen years or so. As soon a pic is taken, it gets auto sent to the Amazon cloud.
Each pic shows for about 10 seconds...then moves to the next, until it's asked to stop. (random or shuffle order)

Or, I can ask her to play Sirius Deep Tracks and the dots and subwoofer play it all day, if wanted.
It has a high quality sound to it and the sub is powerful.

Steve Carlton 12-09-2022 10:35 AM

Can’t do this. I have Kimi.

stevej37 12-09-2022 11:16 AM

You can change Alexa's name to Kimi....or any other name.:)

No Alexa here, but my mail carrier is Christine. Gotta get her something nice for the holidays.

You know what, I say to the Amazon drivers? Fook off. No tip unless they can simply pull into a simple parking slot and not just park on a narrow street that allows one car to pass at a time blocking everyone from getting through. What's hard about getting out of traffic, 10 more feet of walking? I always noticed there's the entire street empty of parking and those azzholds sit right in the middle of the road. Tip my ass. Get a real job.

Siht, got that off my chest. Feel so much better now.
