robot roomba maintenance

10 year old Roomba model 560
Original battery quit about 5 years back...replaced it with an extended life battery.

That replacement was only lasting about a half hour of running lately, so I went to Amazon and bought a Lithium Ion battery. Now, it runs better and longer (almost 3 hours)
The Roomba has a new life again.

Old battery...
Nickel Metal Hydride....14.4v 3000Mah

New battery
Lithium Ion...14.8v 5000Mah

The reason I posted this is ....if you have a iRobot vacuum, there are all kinds of upgrades to renew the life of them.
The best one besides the battery....is the dust collection tray. They offer one with a motor to suck up the dust better. Works great.
