Pandemic babies, who's got them?

We just welcomed our 3rd child to the world in this crazy time. When the quarantine started we made the decision to have a home birth because we did not know what the hospitals would be like at birth time and didn't want to be unprepared at the last minute. What an amazing experience our home birth was, Luca was born on June 10th.

Thanks for posting. This is so encouraging, that in the midst of this mess life goes on.
Congratulations, and the best to your family.

Seems only yesterday that my girls were that small. I remember the contentment I felt when kicking back with a little one like that. Nothing else like it.

Congrats.

As to who else has pandemic babies??? There's quite a few in PARF.

Thanks for reminding us that some things are more important than a night at Buffalo Wild Wings.

Our daughter is expecting her third on 7/11. It will be our fourth grandchild, all girls so far.
She lives in Japan at the moment, so we won't get to see the new one until she facetimes with us after she's born.

I remember that vividly like it was yesterday, not 33 years ago.

Thanks for kind words.

Like wdfifteen posted, life does go on in the midst of chaos. We still only get life one day at a time and there is beauty, hope and innocence continuing to grow in this world. We feel very fortunate to have this gift affecting our lives.

We used a midwife and a doula and I'm very thankful they were there, i am not a childbirth scientist!
They were both mostly hands off at our request until the baby arrived, with the exception of regularly monitoring the baby's heart rate.

I thought the Quarantine babies were not due until December/January?

13 years from now they'll be known as the quaran-teenies

Congratulations on the child and your, as my dad would say: proper prior planning preventing poor performance!

The home birth process must have been interesting and a bit unnerving at first.

I really like the name as well.

Best to all.

How about fur babies?
This is Russ and he is a handful right now...

Cute little ones, gentlemen. I have a photo of my son sleeping on me like LJ's. Seems like yesterday but he is now 12 years old, over 5'6" tall and 130 lbs.
Enjoy the moment as it passes quickly.

An acquaintance of mine caught covid (along with her husband and their young daughter) 4-5 weeks before delivery. Sounds like it was quite a difficult ordeal, but fortunately everyone recovered fully, the delivery went smoothly and the new son is fine.

That's good to hear gtc.
Our daughter had her latest, in fact today is her one month birthday.
Her daddy just got a promotion so it sounds like they'll be staying in Japan for at least 2 more years at a minimum.
