Hi everyone, I’m Dudley from Memphis Tennessee, new to the forum looking forward to all the discussions and info on here.

We were looking for a Dudley! Welcome- we look forward to hearing about the goings on in Memphis!

Fingers crossed that Dudley is legit, but not holding my breath.

First two posts are to OT and SouthEast regional just to announce his presence, but nothing else of interest.

Definite spammer, "dudleytittle" just signed up for at least a dozen car forums in the past 2 weeks.

They post a statement "I have a [yearandbrandofvehiclerelatedtoforum] with [somelargebutnotabsurdamountofmileage] miles. how can i make it last another 100k miles?

1989 LR Defender with 103K miles, 1997 BMW 318is with 146,000 miles, 2004 E46, '56 Chevy, the list goes on and on. All have pictures, which I'd bet a paycheck are stolen from the web.

We had a thread about them a week or two ago. The theory is that they post a few innocuous posts.

Then later (couple of weeks) they come back and edit their old posts to include links. Those links are then seen by the search engines that constantly scour the internet, and having their links spread around all over the place helps their placement in search results.

One of the spammers even responded in this thread talking about the recent batch of spammers.

That site thinks I'm in Appleton, WI, the other side of the state. Might explain some of the commercials I get while streaming.

Google seems to know exactly where I am, probably from tracking my phone, even when I'm on my laptop.

So Dudley is a dud?
