Make Bruins Great Again
|
The most wonderful time of the year: hockey season
The Preds started early and won both in Prague.
The Bruins just finished the first win against the Caps. Why are these two important? I have a promise from a friend that if the B's and the Preds go to the finals, I get a free ticket in Nashville. We're a long way off from that so for now

Flames look pretty good in their season and home opener.
I won't be watching much due to the lack of cable tv...

Should be a good first meeting between the oinklers and the flamers!....
Love to see Looch still hanging in there. Think he brings a lot to the team in character and toughness.

I was stationed at the atomic power site just outside Saratoga Springs NY and it was a US Navy training site. In the winter once we'd get the first good snow the fire house down the road from where I lived would break out a snowplow and smooth out a nice flat section and then flood it with fresh water. Usually took a day or two for freezing through and then they would run a siren to let everybody know the "skate place" was ready. We'd ice skate and then the kids would get out their Bobby Hull hockey sticks and the fun would start. We would sit in the side door of my Dodge van, drink beer and watch the fun!
