Baz just paid 2.29 per his hurricane thread. In CA 97 is 6 bucks and 2 refineries are making noises about shutting down. 93 is about 5.49 +- It's no wonder EV's sell well here.

I had to go back and check his thread because I thought I was getting hosed! :D

His price per gallon would have been $3.69 according to that picture of the pump in his first post.

How much is it for 87 octane where you're at?

KFC911 08-14-2025 04:49 AM

^^^ LOL ... I saw that too, knew it wasn't possible, and rechecked Baz's post.

Milt doesn't correct my speeling and grammar .... so I don't correct his maf ;)

Back in the good old days (circa early 1950s) gas was $0.27 a gallon. Sounds great but adjusted for inflation . . . That $0.27 in 1951 would be $3.35 in 2025 dollars.

Gas up 18 cents because of refinery storm damage in Indiana.
$3.48/reg...$4.48/prem

87 octane jumped 40 cents just over the weekend. Ten days ago it was $2.99, today $3.49.

Marathon down the street went from $2.99 to $3.25 for 87 today.

KFC911 08-27-2025 11:46 AM

Big jump for some stations today ... some 25-35 cents ... they ALL decided 2.99 was today's price :D.

Mayberry or NYC ... it's 2.99!

Just because they can ...

They do!

JackDidley 08-27-2025 12:21 PM

Just paid $3.57 for 93 at Sams.

Anyone aware of anything going on in Minnesota?

Gas prices here in La Crosse haven't changed in a couple of weeks - $2.95 most everywhere except the Woodman's grocery is at $2.85, so all the stations near them match that. But going across the river and up the hill, the Kwik Trip in Nodine jumped to $3.14, and the normally cheaper stations in St Charles MN are $3.09 / 3.12. Rochester was around $3.23 most everywhere. I did see a Kwik Trip near Northfield that was $2.95, should have stopped but didn't. The last time I was that way, prices were similar to La Crosse.

Gas continues to be expensive and about the same price as a year ago according to AAA.

93 has gone up to $3.65 at Costco. Shell continues to be strangely expensive at $4.61. Mobil is $4.11. Cheap ethanol gas is $3.69

This am regular is $2.63 at the Exxon in Indian Trail, NC (Charlotte suburb).

VINMAN 09-08-2025 06:09 AM

Just drove down and up from FL last week. Was around $2.87 -$3.05, on the average depending on the state and station.

Lowest I paid was 2.87 at Pilot truck center. highest I think was 3.10 at a 7-11 near Daytona

.

Yesterday my wife and I drove to the outer banks NC . About 40 miles from our destination we saw a Sunoco station at $2.69 for 87 octane . I was surprised but took advantage to fill up .

As we got closer to Duck where we are staying it's 2.89 - 2.99 . A savings of 20 - 30 cents per gallon adds up quick .

KFC911 09-09-2025 03:18 AM

Unreal.....when Duck is cheaper than here too... a few miles from the tank farm :(.

This is THE best time of year to be where you are .... enjoy :)!

We could do without the constant 20 - 30 mph winds ! We have been coming to OBX for about 4 years now but usually in May . This is by far the heaviest wind conditions we have seen . And it continues thru the night . Just relentless .

Yesterday a neighbor house was flying a kite . Lasted about 30 seconds then the string snapped . As George Costanza would say the seas were angry that day my friends 😆

Gas prices have dropped a full dollar in the last 2 weeks here. When I looked I didn't think that was correct so I searched more than one site. Some parts of Los Angeles proper are cheaper than Long Beach.

Actually I don't get it because Gas Buddy is telling me $3.60 or so for 87 but AAA is saying more like 4.60. The latter sounds more like it as 91 was 5.29 not that long ago. The days of 10 cent difference between the 3 grades we have are long gone.
