On the suggestion of a HVAC guy, I bought a set of 10" Knipex Cobra pliers...Wow! My channel locks won't be getting as much use from now on. Not cheap, but worth every penny..

My Snap On guy turned me on to Knipex a decade ago. Good stuff, for sure.

Funny. I was just in the garage and used a far inferior pair of pliers. Those would have been welcome.

Irwin makes a pretty similar plier to the Knipex that might also be an option for those shopping.
Available at the big blue box store.
