My old truck is on Bring a Trailer
OK, probably not, mostly because it's in CA and I had it in MA, but it is the exact VW pick-up I had when I was 16. Bought it for $275, sold it before going to college for $450. Top land speed on a flat surface was 45 mph. Only car I've ever named, Beasley, and it fit perfectly.
1963 Volkswagen Type 2 Double Cab Transporter Does anyone know if you can ask the police or registry for a list of cars you've titled and they'll look it up for you? ![]() ![]()

Honestly a 2.2 T engine is perfect for these trucks and buses.

Too bad Thom isn't around anymore. He has one of those....
I bet it fetches a pretty penny. |

Rough idea of where it will sell at? This second it's at 27.5. I gotta think 65. But I'm clueless.
It is way cool.

big ship supply warehouse bonded booze and cigg's not taxed for export plus every other thing they wanted in 73 maybe worth a grand max if nice early 60's we had a 63 bus paid 500 for it about then regularly broke the transfer boxes too loaded as a dock box when we lived on the sail boat they all rusted quick and bad |

$90K? Obviously these guys not performance oriented. I don't get it...but guess I don't need to.

Did you read the auction text?
It wasn't a 'stock' truck at all.

John Walker drove one regularly and got tired of being cut off so he put a flat six motor in it. A 3.2 IIRC. Possibly a 3.6.
