We’re looking for a compact 9mm that my wife and I could both comfortably shoot. The short list is the Glock 43X and Sig P365 XMACRO. I shot a Sig 320 recently and liked it but think the grip is a bit wide for my wife. A local range had a 43X but no P365 so we compared the Glock to an HK VP9SK. We both preferred the HK so 43X is off the list. I’m debating just going ahead and buying the xmacro without test shooting since I liked the 320 and still think the 226 is the best handgun I’ve ever fired.

226R .40 and a 938 9mm for carry. Dad has a 220 .45 I gave him as a gift.

P365 but you don't need that monster xmacro thing to be accurate and controllable. The standard 365 or the X which is slightly longer grip with same slide length are the best options for carry.

I tried the 43x recently and gave it back after 5 rounds. Horrible gun with lousy grip texture that jumps all over in the hands. For me i'd pay full price to own a 365 over being PAID $500 to carry that 43x. HK triggers are yucky.

I have the P365 and P365XL. I put an XL grip module on the non-XL P365. Now I can use the same mags for both guns. Both are super accurate and reliable. I got the Magguts kit for two of the mags, so they're now 14+1 and I always those when carrying.

Slide arrives back from Sig with xray3 sights tomorrow. Still waiting on TT gunleather holster so it'll be a safe queen for now.

Rick the X and XL grip sizes are the same. XL just has the slightly longer slide.

Not sure if others would agree but to me the Sig 365 is a softer shooting gun than the glock. It IS a personal thing but i guess so are 300lb bearded women.

We shot a 365XL today and liked it but then we shot an M18. We both like the M18 better. So now thinking 320 is the way to go since it’s pretty much the M18 with narrower grip and not sand color.

For me the narrow grip really helps a lot.

The P365 trigger gets better, the more you shoot. You need over 1000 rds through it before it starts to smooth out. If you know how to exploit a short reset, that trigger is awesome for that. The old P-series classics require a special kit for it, but the P365's stock trigger has a super short reset. If you really know what you're doing, you can fire it almost as fast as a machine gun with no mods or tricks.

The VP9 triggers are fantastic, way better than the other HK pistols. I've shot a full size one plenty and that trigger is probably the best striker trigger on the market. The only problem is the groove channel on the lower inside of the trigger guard. It really pinches my finger, but you'd never notice it when dry firing, only when it goes bang.

Ah those are the striker guns right? I only tried the hammer models. Will go back to my post on it and update.

Hate the finger pinch. Had a P320 Xcarry that pinched the heck out of me (flat blade trigger) and got rid of that very fast.

VP9 is striker. Totally different animal from the USP stuff.

Until it fell in a lake, I had an LCP. Mine had an extractor problem, which I believe is common. Sort of makes it a single shot pistol as it won't extract and feeds at the same time. There are videos on the fix which seems to have something to do with corrosion of the extractor spring?.

As for size and weight, I didn't have any issues with that and felt comfortable. My hands are pretty big, usually XL size gloves.

But is does feel like a toy, just one that is capable of grave damage.
