Can't wait to talk to my buddy in Jax later....
He might be a small Mr. Ed tho' :)
|
If you are referencing last night's NFL game it was an epic comeback victory .
|
|
Bosa was held. But, keep your helmet on!
|
Saw a touch of the Lawrence/Clemson magic in the second half. Not so much in the first half.

My buddy has been a season tix holder since day one ... he might still be at the stadium :D. ... and Christian McC has to be one of the happiest players in the NFL right now ..... he's always been one of the best ..... happy for him too! Wonder if Damar will be at the Bill's game later ..... I hope so! |

My Niners look tough to beat. So many weapons and the defense is scary.

.... and they haven't really used CMC to his full capabilities either .... they are loaded with weapons and D.
Hadn't seen the QB play either ... impressive :)! |
Purdy makes some rookie type throws at times but all in all he’s phenomenal. It helps when everywhere you look you have a weapon. Just manage the offense and let the stars do their work.
|
^^^^ I saw Derek sitting in for a few songs with a local blues band back when he was 9 when I lived there. He'd only been playing 6 months at the time and I knew then I was seeing something special ... along with about 20 other folks :D.
Didn't see 'em play the anthem.... but the TTB can rock with the best of 'em .... a very cool couple ;) |
Yeah I’ve seen them at Red Rocks, very cool.
Great comeback by Jax for sure. Purdy is making the Cyclones proud. |
Miami hanging tough in Buffalo . The dolphins QB was picked just ahead of Purdy . May end up being the best last two picks in history .
|
sure making Urban Meyer look like a bigger fraud than he was yesterday afternoon...
|
Miami had waaay too many dropped passes . Add to that poor clock management and it was still close . Buffalo very lucky to get the win . But luck is part of the game .

Talked to my Jax bud .... he was still giddy .... didn't leave the stadium parking lot celebration until 2:30.... said no one did. So where does a star QB go after one of the greatest playoff comebacks in history go after the game is over? Waffle House :) |
My son's friend put $5 on Jax to win at halftime I guess. He walked with $2500.

Nope .... I think I saw his first public gig .... I "think" it was sitting in for a few songs with Ace Moreland's band (so many shows that I disremember schit ;)), but it was at a club called Applejacks .... I think it was in San Marco. Two years later, I did see him also at The Landing opening for Joe Bonamassa.... Derek was eleven and Joe was 13.... and Joe was channeling SRV back then. Pier 7 down at the beach was my main blues club ..... including every Blue Monday and Ward's Landing on the ICW .... good times!
I remember we didn't see each other at the REM show at JU too :D |
^^^^ It was Ace Moreland (RIP) .... my memory isn't totally shot :D. Ace was also tight with LS guys (grew up with Steve Gaines in OK) and I even saw a video of young Derek playing with Ace and some LS guys outside on the deck of the Crabpot. We were regulars on that small deck every Sunday when they had music. Had to go to the beach to buy beer anyways on Sundays .... hoot :)
