Steve, Black Walnut used to be highly prized as stock material by high end rifle makers.

A few years back, I checked with a guy that bought standing timber for furniture. He said one tree, like mine, was not something he was interested in. He was also hesitant because it is along my property line. (possible nails or fence wire)
