Fast X

Jeebus, that is one expensive cast! You have the regulars F&F characters, plus Helen Mirren, Jason Statham, Jason Momoa, Charlize Theron and Rita Moreno!

I'm definitely going to see it, but I think the franchise has run its course. It seems like the producers feel the same way, too.

It looks spectacular. The franchise has certainly made some money.

No doubt my son will drag me along to see it. :)

I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of perfectly good honda civics suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.

It cracks me up that these started as youth counter-culture films, and Vin Diesel will likely hit 60 before they wrap up - he'll be 56 in July 2023 and I think they've got two more planned (and he's 8 days older than Statham). I like the actor, but I thought he was too old for this and xXx when they debuted. This is getting Joey Tribbiani playing a teen-ridiculous.

I find it impossible to watch this tyoe of movie where each scene lasts about a second.

Dame Helen? Really? She must be desperate for work.

Or maybe she's getting paid really well for what is essentially a cameo.

If I could get a paycheck for not much work...

Anything she's done in the last 10 years, maybe more, maybe less has been for the pure joy of using her amazing gifts to entertain us mere mortals. We owe her a debt of gratitude more than anything else.

Have there really been 10 of these things?

How time flies when you're wasting film.

RED. And the sequel was by far the most fun things she has done in the last 10 years.

I loved the first few of these but now, I just can't watch the newer ones.

Ditto.

Jordana Brewster FTW.

I doubt that. British actors seem to have a more mercenary attitude towards roles. If you meet their price and there's no scheduling conflict, they're game. Sort of like Tom Hanks' attitude about wedding pictures.
