Massive deal when it was launched in the UK. The press went nuts over it. Half championing it as a masterpiece, the other half calling out the wretched excess and that no one needed a near 400hp 180 mph car. The advertising was even discussed and criticized in parliament. I bet for a time a Lotus Carlton would have had better public recognition than a 930.

A friend had one. Basically a souped-up Opel Omega. I remembering it being quite quick.

Five seconds into the video. The grill. fit and finish is no thanks. Reminds me of a ford Tempo.
