Leaks in my intake are holed AF
Several weekend projects from the desk of leaky.
1. I found the culprit for a LOW MAF signal. I had changed the turbo intake pipe some time ago, so it wasn't high on my list, as the original one wasn't bad- so why would the replacement be? Right? Well anyway.... it was. Either I damaged it putting on a new head in 2018, or a rat gnawwed the heck out of it. We'll blame the rat. :) 2. At 260k miles, I thought I'd pull the pan to insure the pcv drains and main oil pickup was clean. Too many partially/fully clogged of pics on the net of like cars were keeping me up at night. I've let the oil run down too low on several occasions, so there is some burning, but, Dang- regular oil changes work! Please admire my relatively clean bottom!!!!! :D http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1677442336.JPG changedhttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1677442336.JPGhttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1677442336.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1677442336.JPG |
Nice!
The holes on the pipe are odd, and from a distance would make me think something had been gnawing more than something that you did. We'll go with that. |
