Hehe, truthfully i don't use dryer sheets. It's a line i use when the topic of saving money comes up. Always brings me a chuckle.

The line originally came from a FIRE forum where they were discussing ways folks saved $$$ so full credit should go to whomever first posted that on the FIRE forum!

Fitted, Steve. I even wash them once a month or so. Cold water. No softener, either. I can’t sleep in hotels because I feel guilty.

I’ve been homeless X3. I know luxurious when I see it.

Saving money revolves around the gratitude I have every time warm water comes out of my faucets or the lights come in with a flip of the switch.

Wealth comes from appreciation. Not from saving money. My family loves me, for example.*

Some simple ones:

- check one's cell plan, often there is/are a free year's worth of various streaming services. Eg. T-mobile has a free year of paramount+. Super easy to cancel via the cell website just before year is up.

- many supermarkets will honor the coupons from another if there is a competing store nearby.

- when ubering/lyfting, there is a nice price drop for booking no rush.

- in fla (at least), one can get a nice discount on the property tax bill by paying in full early.
