A major kitchen upgrade
Just got sick and tired of digging through the spice cabinet to find the spices I wanted.
The racks were spendy, but they will be worth it. BEFORE: ![]() AFTER: ![]() ![]() ![]()

That is a MUCH more efficient use of the space.
Our kitchen SUCKS in terms of thoughtful use of space. We've got cabinet area we cannot even reach without being on all fours with our head under the counter. EVERYTHING is wrong with the design of this kitchen. In any case, we did some spice racking a week ago: ![]()

My wife bought the same ones and returned them. Too much fighting with the racks.
She went with a tiered set up. High in the back. Low in the front.

I did a kitchen upgrade last week too. I was up to here with fighting the lids in the oven drawer, so I repurposed an old stick of wood and now I lean them against the wall.
Well worth the expense, I highly recommend this upgrade. ![]()

Here in NJ, you'd have to get a permit to put those in your cabinets!

I need those slide outs in my POS side by side fridge. But it's a Kitchenaid and won't die.

That's a great idea. I don't know if I could make my kitchen esthetics consultant (Vicki) go along with it, but it would solve a couple of problems. We have pans that are too tall to store with the lids on, so the lids have to go somewhere. Also, grease spatter would be a lot easier to clean off of the pan lids than off of the tile.

Big fan of slide out spice racks. Made a useless cabinet very useful.

I have the same Fridge. Only thing that ever wears out is the start relay and it will give you a weeks notice as the temp gets warmer before it dies. They are now down to $12 at Appliance Parts Warehouse. I buy two and just keep one on hand. One minute to install. The clear plastic shelf skirts are spendy when they crack though, those are $65

I like those. May I ask where you picked them up? Are they durable.

What are the brands/store all of these racks are from?
Our cabinet is a wreck. It doesn't help that my wife buys blended spices like, "Italian blend" and others. No idea what is in them so I don't use them. I will ask if we have oregano or something and she will offer up the blended stuff. let's just say I'm the better cook but you probably could have surmised that on your own.

I love this! Where did you purchase them? What brand? Please provide some additional information. We are in the final stages of building our new kitchen and my wife wants something like this.

Assuming you are talking about the racks in the OP, we got them here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NDZWMXF?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details They seem well built, with ball bearing slides that are over-built for what a few jars of spices would weigh. The bases are screwed to the cabinet, but the racks can be removed from the bases so you can get under them and clean with a vacuum cleaner.

Agree with Italian spice. 3 herbs that you can buy separately if you wish and the combine them in the recipe. Saves a step or 3. Other combinations not so much. I mix garlic powder 50/50 with salt and keep it on the stove. Don't need much and don't use much. Fussing around with fresh garlic is not the best use of my kitchen time.

![]() Had these drawers made when I put in the cooktop-top is for oils and liquid condiments, bottom 2 spices. Literally don't have to move from the cooking surface to reach over.
