Mandelorian, tonight...
Man, I gotta air a grievance. I don't think it's really a spoiler, or not enough of one to mean anything, but if you're concerned, leave now...
The New Republic is taking Empire technology and equipment and basically throwing it in the trash pile. Fine, I can kinda understand that. But, WHY would they take something like a Star Destroyer, put it in dry dock on a major populated planet, then slowly dismantle it and destroy it? How many of the Empire fleet are being taken apart this way? Why not just autopilot them into the nearest star or something? They've made it clear that they don't want Empire technology, so why put so much effort into the process of throwing it away? Just let the cleansing fires of a star solve everything.

Do they plan to reuse the Star Destroyer parts for something like housing or infrastructure?
If they were real... Lots of exotic high quality metals. ![]()

The New Republic came off as just plain incompetent in this ep, when I was expecting them to be mildly corrupt and recruit the scientist the way everyone snapped up researchers after WW2.
