Someone out there found and used some software I wrote and posted under a GPL license.

Putting something useful, like information, a white paper, software, etc... always feels good, but then so often there's no feedback for you to know if anyone thought it was worthwhile. Clearly, for this guy to have responded, they must have thought your stuff was good.

I am pretty sure the coding on my open source projects got me a job. I put the links on my resume.

No thats the day job writing ETL stuff and REST end point and such for our ERP


The fact that I needed something, put it out there and then someone told me they found and used it has me really chuffed
