2015-2019 GM truck owners - transmission lawsuit

I know we have discussed some GM 8 speed transmission issues on here . I just saw this article there is now a class action lawsuit . Approximately 800,000 vehicles alleged to have the issue .

When I bought my 2017 I was trying to find a 6.0 with the 8 or 10 speed. I didn't want a crew cab or 20" wheels so I ended up with a 5.3 and the 6 speed. After seeing the problems with the 8 speed I'm not so unhappy.

I do see some of the 6 speeds have a problem with torque converter failures. I put the lower temperature thermostat in mine when I did the first fluid change.

I had 3 of the infamous 4L60's go over 200K with no problems.

I'm also aware of the AFM issues.

So far it has been a trouble free truck. My last GM pickup went 265K before getting totalled in an accident with the original motor and trans still in good shape - I'm hoping this one does as well.
