What on earth did Wayne buy now? (not a joke and not a car)...
Okay, so those of you who might know me a bit know that I collect weird engineering stuff / models - mostly from Germany and mostly motor / car related. I saw these at an auction and I bid on them, not knowing completely what they are. They arrived yesterday, and guess what? I still don't know what they are.
They are all unique, hand-made models. One of them has writing on the bottom that says: W. Schulz Stuttgart 15.10.66 So, that kindof dates the era for them. They are all some type of unusual or weird rotary-style engine design. They are all similar, but they are all unique too. I'm going to spend some time making a video, I'll post that in a few minutes too. I thought this would make for some fascinating discussion! -Wayne http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1679172513.png http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1679172513.png http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1679172513.png http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1679172513.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1679172513.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1679172513.jpg |

Anyone see the photos and immediate think "Gererators!" ???
Are these all fuel powered? Sterling? |
Those are fantastic. I can't wait to see the video.
Thank you for sharing, Wayne. |
Did you try cranking any of them with fresh batteries or power supply?
(oops..I posted this before seeing the video) I was looking for any of them that resemble my Stirling motor. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1679173762.jpg |
They all appear to be proof of concept models. Maybe for some big ol' public works projects or manufacturing and industrial business. All of them are fascinating.

Hand crank Wimshurst style static electricity generators?
|
Yeah but can they turn the lights on and off?

All they need is a Cool Collar.
|
I did try some with a power supply. The batteries are soldered in - not quite good for future planning. At least one of the batteries do work.

Tesla would be proud...maybe.
