I'm so glad I don't read every thread here!

Don't know why I clicked on this one either :D

You're an addict. You can't help it.

Maybe what you need is the boob version of the old WWII nautical cammoflage, razzle dazzle.

OK, off topic, how in the hell does that chick get all of that off of her skin?

If it is all water soluble glue, does all the glitter and glass just wash down the drain? Does she have a special shower or bathtub drain with a strainer over the drain?

Curious minds want to know! :)

I'm not going to post anything here, but maybe if you go to youtube and do a search for "glitter boob" you'll get educational videos on the subject. There are a bunch of results, but I don't have time (right now) to check any of them out.

This seems like another good option.

I'm surprised this isn't a Vash thread.

If you have moobs and muffin top issues (referring to the pant thread here), you should work on your physique. It is NOT about what others think, it is about being healthy and being able to be more active carrying less weight. If you are retired you have more time to indulge but you also have time to work out, cook for yourself and focus on a healthy lifestyle! No donuts at work or business travel which tend to really screw up the best intentions!

One thing that tends to cause moobs and a lot of bloat is beer. Do you drink beer? Try to cut that out completely. There is a connection of hops with estrogen, so especially the double IPA lovers may be affected by a bra size or two up from normal. Combine that with reduced testosterone from aging! Alcohol in general is not good for your figure. Most drinkers I know are pretty pudgy and flabby. When I stopped drinking, my chest tightened up significantly and my pecs have zero flab - even carrying similar weight.

So, cantdrv55 - don't listen to the clothing advice of these man muumuu wearing dudes! Set a goal to clean up your diet, add some exercise, go see a nutritionist, do what it takes to get in better shape. It will make your retirement a lot more enjoyable and extend your active years!

Cheers!

I know that it's not what this thread is about, but back to Dr Jason Fung, fasting causes the body to burn fat, produce more testosterone, and produce HGH (human growth hormone). Testosterone and HGH taken (injection, oral, whatever) both have side effects, but when the body increases production during fasting, those side effects don't present.

Quote:

Growth hormone is known to increase the availability and utility of fats for fuel. It also helps to preserve muscle mass and bone density. Secretion is known to be pulsatile, making accurate measurement difficult. Growth hormone secretion decreases steadily with age. One of the most potent stimuli to growth hormone secretion is fasting. Over a five-day fasting period growth hormone secretion more than doubled. The net physiologic effect is to maintain muscle and bone tissue mass over the fasting period.
Lots more detail on HGH and fasting

And if you've ready any of ^that^ and you're still worried about losing muscle.

I know you are kidding. But ice cream should be totally off the menu. Maybe have it once a month, before you go for a jog, definitely not at bedtime. Haha. Reminds me of a guy on here who would always have milk and cookies every night. Like an 8 year old.

If I absolutely need a snack at night, it is usually savory. Peanuts are my go-to. I also like to keep some kimchi around. That will get your taste buds busy with next to no calories. Again, if you don't down a couple beers or glasses of wine every night, you are quite ahed of the game already.

No beer for me at all, George. Sorta kidding about the ice cream only.

aigel 03-22-2023 07:56 PM

That's great! Haha - everyone has a vice. For me it is the peanuts. They are not bad, but if you eat a ton, the calories add up!
