I'm pretty sure this is Barrettafan's (probably speeled wong
 ) arena, but can't imagine he would be an expert on NC and CA specifics. And who would be  ? Do you use TurboTax .... I would bet they have it all covered unless you have a very complicated situation.... good luck!

Yes, I use TurboTax and already finished my 2022 taxes. I moved from CA to NC in Jan, but my wife is working in CA until this summer. So, I have some specific tax questions for 2023 and need an expert. |

Ohhh..that really does complicate things. Perhaps 2 CPA's needed? One for each state?
