Yep, looks like a GT40 replica to me as well.

Google lens came up with Fiberfab Avenger GT. Looks kinda sorta.

I have a picture of that car being displayed during the event. GT40.

Was it of any historical significance?
The paint scheme was strange for a competition car.
Thanks URY

I'll post it tonight. It's a recreation/continuation car. If it was "real" with history it won't be on a open trailer.

Person at work had a real one, a gt40 mk 3. They parked it on top of the parking garage a few times.

Looked so different from what I thought was a gt40 that I assumed it was fake - but it warnt...

I think the Mk I and Mk IV are what we are all probably most familiar with. The Mk2 and Mk3 are odd balls in a way, with the 2 being a Holman-Moody creation for the 427 and used in different racing, I think, and the 3 being built as a street car.

From my perspective on the road, it looked like the real deal.
Wheels are center-lock, with some healthy period-correct replica tires mounted.
I agree about the open trailer.

Those tires are at least 18" or something in the rear - far larger than the 15" with big fat sidewalls that the real GT40s had.

Besides the ugly choice of wheels, it looks like a kit car

Yep, the rear wheels look far larger than what I think would have been on a real GT40.
