I Hate New Orleans

in June, July, August and September. February is not so bad.

I can deal with ovens. (This is my first time spoofing another thread!) But it is how I misread the OP.

I've only been during Mardi Gras and Jazz Fest (early May).… many times....

I always had a pheasant time :D

Ha ..So good!

Try Savanna, GA in August. One day the heat index was 135! It was hard to breath, and truly felt like a sauna.

When I think of New Orleans I think of the movie "No Mercy" (1986 Richard Gere - Kim Basinger).

Been there in July a few times. It's brutal. But everyone needs to see it once.

My ass crack is still sweaty from the 2019 API conference there in June…

I was going to start a thread with this very topic but actually don’t hate New Orleans…

flatbutt 03-31-2023 08:52 PM

I just hate the French Quarter. I gotta say Lackland AFB in August wasn't much fun...but it was boot camp too.

Steve Carlton 03-31-2023 09:14 PM

Just don't go there during the summer. The seafood is awesome!

cantdrv55 03-31-2023 09:19 PM

Sweaty ass crack. Lol

stevej37 04-01-2023 03:19 AM

Never been there.
Would like to sometime...anytime but Mardi Gras.

All of my visits during Mardi Gras were as a youngin' with a group of buddies ... good call ;)!
Jazz Fest was my calling card (not really a Jazz fan), but it's just an all types of great music extravaganza also in the clubs ... but alas .... it's all corporate now too :(. The French Qtr. is NOT my thing either.... but a first timer will likely think it's what Nawlins is all about .... it isn't.

All of the bands from there used to hit the road during the summer months... for a reason.

I love New Ovens :D

stevej37 04-01-2023 03:52 AM

If I went there, sometime other than MG, could I still get some beads for my Civic's rear view mirror? :)

Hate is a strong word, but certainly not a fan. Unusually high concentration of poor decision makers.

stevej37 04-01-2023 04:10 AM

^^^ read the first post.

It would have been 'I Love New Orleans' if someone didn't hate their new oven. :D

Me too, odd.

New Orleans. Only reason for me to go is 2-3 days of eating. I could see doing that some weekend a few years from now on the bucket list.

Me three, and NOLA is one of my favorite places...

"This is like...Africa hot."

Well, this is Biloxi.

I reported to my new duty station at Ingalls Shipbuilding Pascagoula Ms. in August.

...they didn't say it was going to be that hot. OMG, the humidity.

Seems like all I did was sweat 24x7.

When you add the memories vs the cost, the net pheasant value is substantial.

Don't drink more than five Hurricanes. That's my rule.

I liked Alex Patout's restaurant before it closed in NO and the big storm took out his New Iberia location. It was especially tasty on big oil's dime.

I blame my heart bypass procedure on those two restaurants. Just sayin' - not for certain.
