Does it keep good time? Good factory service centers in the US?

For myself? Cheap quartz...it's accurate.

I like them but no. Sinn are my go to watches.

I have a Pam 024. Great watch, but kind of big on me since I lost a lot of weight. Keeps good time, but hard to fit in some watch winders because the buckle is about 24mm.

Lots of fakes out there. Very good ones. Be careful. I had a PAM000 some years ago. Never warmed up to it…I think the heft got old after a while. Easy to read and nice looking, for sure.

If you want to test the waters, check out Magrette. Similar cushion design, reasonable price. I have a couple of them that I never wear anymore (since getting my Planet Ocean). Happy to pass one along to a Pelican cheap.

I have owned a PAM 005, 50 and a 312. Currently own a Radiomir 380 and a Submersible 683. All were/are great watches that keep perfect time. I have never had to have one service so can't speak to that. My 380 however will need service soon so will probably take to an AD in Dallas or Phoenix when that time comes.

I no longer have any interest in the 44mm Luminors. They are just to big and heavy for daily wear for me.

Cool brand, been a fan for 15 plus years. Also enjoy B&R and vintage Rolex.

Yep, have the luminor Marina. About 5 years ago. I change the band every once in awhile but may only wear it about 25 % of time. Like the styling and feel of watch, only negative is the lame method of changing the date.

It’s all subjective, but I don’t see the watch for that kind of money.

Yeah when I bought my first nice watch it was hard to find one that wasn't HUGE as that was all the thing. Found a nice Breitling Colt Ocean that has the "right" size face for me.

Panerai is one of those brands watch guys either love or hate. A good friend of mine is die hard, his are all huge. Not for me but if you like them you like them. Its more about the design for them than movement or high horology, but I don't think that is fine/appropriate.

yes watches are definitely trending back towards smaller. Lots of releases in the 36-40 mm range where as most new releases were 40-44 a decade ago

32mm cases of the 40s-70s arnt really back though.

So good to see things go back to reasonable sizes. I still rock a 1950s Eterna (34mm?) when wearing a suit. Milgauss or speedy for daily wear, so I'm not completely against 40mm-ish cases. No bigger though - I'm a medium sized guy with skinny wrists. Some of those aforementioned watches would do better on a chain from my neck.

I associate huge watches with the guys that will make certain that their watch is visible regardless of what shirt/jacket they're wearing. They attract attention, whether they want the ladies looking for cash or other guys jealous that they can't have that toy - neither are of interest for me...

Mine is about 6 years old, keeps great time and have not needed any service. Not my daily watch but the size works well for me. Only negative is setting the date, not as easy as some others.

I'd love to have a Panerai. I like this oddball California dial.
