2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

Well we got this vehicle for my son. It appears to be well taken care of. The seller was asking $3750, I gave $3500 cash. It has 118,000 miles on it but everything so far checks out, fluids all looked good, no grime anywhere but the engine was dusty. I've cleaned it up over the past couple of days and removed some old AVS vent visors, one was missing so I removed the others. The driver's seat is really the only seat that shows some wear. I'm going to clean it and the console lid armrest and also will replace the cracked steering wheel.
Anyhoo, I'm hoping this will be a good dependable vehicle.

The driver's side headlight was a little cloudy looking so I polished it up. Also washed the engine bay.

The chrome is flaking off of the grill and there is a little blemish on the front bumper where somebody hit something. We will remove the grill, mask off the chrome edge and Hyundai emblem and paint the grill satin black and will remove the pushed in part of the bumper and replace it.

2013 here - It's as reliable and sexy as a blender. I wish we would have cross-shopped the similar Mazda product, but ours (170k miles) has been pretty good.

We do the "severe service" schedule, including the trans fluid every 60k. It kind of hurts the wallet but the whole "life fluids" I suspect really means "life of the tranny", which could of course be longer with a little attention.

Yeah, some people think the design is ugly, that doesn't bother me. As long as it fulfills the need for decent transportation then it's all good to me. Sexy? It ain't no 1970 Corvette for sure .
