Here Comes The Sun....

...and the turtles are enjoying it.
(Either that or the water is too cold...I just checked and it's 45 F)

[QUOTE=MBAtarga;11971226]Looks pretty dark to me.

Thanks for letting me know...I always check it here, but that doesn't mean it works everywhere else. I know that with my Kindle Fire some videos won't play and my laptop will.

When it's cold outside, does the male turtle penis shrink up even further inside? Inquiring Pelican Brain Trust needs to know.

Enjoy your heat while you have it. Looks like the cold is coming back, at least for a day.
I think you get your weather a day or two after I do. We've had a cool spring so far. However.

Our first 60 degree day of the year was April 2
Our first 70 degree day was April 9.
Our first 80 degree day was April 11.
It got to 90 yesterday (April 12)
The high on Sunday is forecast to be 45.

We could really use some rain too, everything is dry, fire risk is "Very High". There's a couple fires burning to the east of me.

I see one guy out and reaching for the sun this morning. He was in shade just a few moments ago, but is now soaking up some rays.

On a vaguely related note, that I wasn't expecting. Apparently turtles/tortoises feel when touched on their shells.

I have to wonder about the videos that you see where guys are using knives, putty knifes, scrapers, etc... to remove barnacles from sea turtles, if that's a good or bad thing.

Our forecast for Monday is a high of 35F and windy with snow.
Have had a week of sunny and 70's and still haven't needed to mow for the first time.
The ground is so dry.

I'm sure they have feeling in their shells...esp right after they shed.
As far as removing barnacles...I doubt that hurts them,..they're tough buggers.

Wow! After the snow the ground won't be so dry. Will the turtles need to go back to the garage for that weather?

No...the pond water won't freeze up unless we have a weeks worth of 20's for a high.
They'll just lay on the bottom until the sun comes out and it warms up.

Will need more than some snow for moisture. One or two warm drenching rains are needed to get things growing.
We haven't had any rain since the snow left.
