It helps so much to have the music genetics and come from a musical family. Long ago I dated a chick that played in the OKC orchestra. She could just "see" music and understood the piece.

If you wanna feel really inadequate when it comes to playing music, check this out. Alma Deutsher plays multiple instruments with passion and emotion well beyond her years. She wrote an opera and composed a symphony before she even reached her teens. Music is just flowing thru her all the time...a remarkable young lady.

Outstanding! Watched the entire thing. I note that it’s from 2017 and wonder why her name isn’t now a household word. Perhaps because classical music doesn’t command the audience it once did. A shame. Will have to look her up.

Bottom line, I’d rather sit in front of a nice turntable, glowing vacuum tubes and fine speakers and listen to Alma and others with even half her talent...than pretend to have any such talent of my own.

As a bass player I have come to appreciate skilled drummers. This performance by this little girl is as good as it gets. There is no end to these humbling videos of children demonstrating jaw-dropping skill.

Didn't see him at the shop. Had a couple JDM ladies helping customers. It was a little weird as I didn't expect them to be working there, but they knew their stuff.

A guitar player told me, when I was learning-
At first the strings will really hurt your fingers.
Then you will build calluses.
Then you won't build calluses, but you won't worry about it. It won't hurt.
You will just play.

But you know that is exactly John Bonham's drum line, right?
