Neat toy, but pretty much just a toy. I suspect a modern 18 volt electric drill will have as much power and lots cheaper to run.
Back just after I bought my first house I discovered there was one phone line, and it was in the middle of the house. I decided I needed a phone in my bedroom, and kitchen and living room. I started string cables, and had to drill a hole in a header in my bedroom at the far end of the house. I did not have enough electrical cords to reach. I grabbed my grandfathers old brace and a 1/2 wood bit and had a hole in seconds. My first cordless drill! |
Pretty cool little engine, they make a I 4 and I 6 also. $1600 for the V8

during the time I needed to get my construction business off the ground in the late 80s early 90s while in college, I poured through miles of catalogue trying to buy a new tool from each and every job. Makita, Royobi (Not today's company but they made industrial tools) , and Hitachi all made a gas powered Reciprocating saw and rotatory hammer. It was a small gas motor. Beats having to drag a cord around.
