That's a good start imo .... no hairline fractures at least. I had one at the top of my tibia (from landing "wrong" playing b-ball) when I was in my upper 20s.... so in a cast, then rehab, etc. Next time I tried playing months later.... POP goes the kneezle :(. When 'scoped, the ACL had atrophied, and was removed along with torn cartilages ..... surgery performed by pro football doc and then rehab for months at his team facility and PTs. 35 yeas later ... no real issues except skiiing medals etc. and no NBA career :(. LOL .... I sucked ;).

I could still ride a bike just fine tho' ;)

Good luck with the MRI .... don't be afraid to get a second opinion either. I'd hate to see how muscles would atrophy at my age if in a cast now .... but that leg has been bigger & stronger for decades since... rehab like a dedicated pro would!

Best to you!

KC,
You've had no ACL for the last 35 years?
Do you feel instability on lateral movements, or do you just avoid them entirely?

Thanks,

I can't imagine being a couch potato. The thought of that will kills me. I read, but not sure hot true this is, bike riding or spinning pedals is one of the requirement of physical therapy.

I had three months of spinning therapy for mine. Better than surgery. Oh, I had a 6:30am mri appt. Slept through it once they scooted me in the machine.

Any talk of draining the fluid?

Nope, nothing yet. My knee is still swelled up pretty good. Can't really bend it too much without the help of my hand.

Best of luck. I hope you don't need anything but rest and maybe some PT. I've been having knee pain on the left side for a while now. I thought maybe IT band. GP last week, hurt way worse after the exam and manipulation he did. He emailed this morning. Xray showed fluid present so next is an MRI. The weather is just getting nice:mad::mad:
