How far can a train jump?
 

Not very far, apparently, although the first engine made it.

Train derailment just south of La Crosse yesterday afternoon. No official cause listed yet, but seems to me the washed out rail bed is a big clue. If you've been living under a rock, the Mississippi river is flooding, around here almost 4 feet above flood stage, 3rd largest flood recorded.
